Workshop intention and goals

The meeting will take place under the auspices of the ISPRS Working Group IV/7, "Planetary Mapping and Databases". The Working Group deals with the development of advanced techniques in data acquisition, processing, and analysis pertaining to the mapping of planetary bodies. This includes the definition of coordinate- and reference systems as well as map sheet definitions and standardization. We also deal with the development of spatial information systems to support extraterrestrial exploration and science.
This workshop welcomes results from recent mapping efforts for planets, satellites, and small Solar System bodies.
